Of particular interest is how grass roots conservative Ron Paul is doing in the Republican Primary

In the Iowa Republican primary Ron Paul came in third capturing 21% of the votes.

In the New Hampshire primary Paul came in second claiming 22.9% of the votes.

In the South Carolina primary Paul came in fourth getting 13.0% of the votes.

Up next in the Republican primary is the Florida primary on January 31, 2012. Many Floridians have already gone to the polls for early voting

SCF Presidential Primary Poll

As the year 2011 comes to an end Conservatives are preparing for the upcoming 2012 Election. Jim DeMint recently sent out the e-mail below for that exact purpose.

___________________________________________________________

Fellow Conservatives:

I’m writing to get your opinion on the 2012 Republican primary race for President.

Roll Call, an inside-the-Beltway newspaper, recently fabricated a story suggesting that I was going to endorse Governor Mitt Romney.

The story is completely false. I have no favorite in the presidential race and have no plans to endorse anyone until I find a candidate who earns the trust of grassroots conservatives.

There is no better barometer of the grassroots than the members of the Senate Conservatives Fund. Please take a minute to vote in our online presidential primary poll.

Your opinion matters greatly to me and will have a major impact on any decision I make related to the presidential primary election.

Thank you for your continued support and encouragement. Together, we can defeat President Obama and build a conservative majority in the United States Senate.

Respectfully,

Jim DeMint
United States Senator
Chairman, Senate Conservatives Fund

2012 Election | Debt Crisis

2012 Election | Debt Crisis

Will the 2012 Election be influenced by the current debt crisis in the U.S.? Many people are wondering “will the U.S. default?” And if so “what will happen in the aftermath?”

Others are not thinking that far ahead but are wondering what should we do right now about the debt crisis.

Recently Senator Bill Nelson sent out an e-mail (shown below) stating what he thinks should be done to calm the debt crisis.

___________________________________________________________

President Obama asked Americans to contact members of Congress and ask them to reach a fair resolution of the looming government default.

He rightly noted that both political parties bear some responsibility for running up the federal debt – so it’s up to both to end this stalemate. Since the President’s speech I’ve heard from thousands and thousands of folks who responded to his call. I also sensed growing support in Congress to avert a first-ever government default early next week. Thus I’m optimistic about quick passage of some $2.7 trillion in savings and spending cuts – cuts that wouldn’t hurt Medicare, Medicaid or Social Security.

Such a solution strikes me as a fair compromise – and, exactly the kind of thing I think we need right now.

If you want to pass along your thoughts, just click here to send me an email. Also, feel free to ask others to weigh in as well.

Thanks for your thoughts,

One thing America Politicians must realize is that there is no quick fix solution to the problem of the debt crisis. But as well they must also realize that something must be done now that will makes things better for the long run.
The e-mail below was sent in response to the above e-mail sent by Senator Bill Nelson.
___________________________________________________________

To solve this debt problem I think we need to trim the fat and overspending of the government by first cutting medicare, social security and our bloated military and all of the other Socialistic entitlement programs/jobs that exist. Including government job benefits, 401ks, paid vacations, health care etc.

The government is only supposed to provide for us what we can’t do for ourselves and I believe that means protect the borders of THIS country with a military, not go around the world wasting taxpayer dollars nation building. I don’t believe the government is supposed to give handouts such as health care, paid time off, 401k’s etc. all at the expense of the tax payers.

And I also think we need to get rid of this Transfer of Wealth Tax System, where the government takes money away from the producers and gives to the non producers. Now don’t get me wrong I am for helping people, but I don’t give hand outs, I give hand ups. I believe in “give a man a fish – feed him for a day, teach a man how to fish – you feed him for life”. So I do believe in helping people who are in need. Please don’t misunderstand me, I’m not trying to toot my own horn when I tell you that I even give of my own money, time, talents, knowledge, abilities when I see people in need.

But, all of these entitlement programs and taxes have created an entitlement mentality in America where people don’t have to work/sweat and be productive members of society to make it. Too many people sit at home and collect a check and take life easy relying on the government to take care of them and solve all of their problems. Instead of going to work using their own God given abilities trying to solve their own problems.

As much as I hate to say it, I fear the U.S. government has financially grown deathly overweight (from feeding on the taxpayers)  the only reason that it is still alive is because it is on life support.

I agree the left and right are both at fault for running the U.S. into the ground financially. Why? Because they have both spent way too much money and promised too many handouts.

I’m a simple guy, and I think it’s real simple to balance the budget. YOU CAN’T SPEND MORE THAN YOU TAKE IN! It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to figure this out

But what do I know, I’m just a hard working average Joe that is self employed.

Sincerely,
Average Joe

P.S. And when the government does default I know I’ll survive…because I rely on: hard work, sweat equity, my self and most of all God, not gov.

How do you think the current U.S. debt crisis will affect the 2012 Election?

2012 Election and the Debt Crisis

2012 Election and the Debt Crisis

The 2012 Election is fast approaching and so is the deadline for Washington to make some major budget cuts in order to avert this financial catastrophe. The current financial state of affairs in the U.S. is without a doubt going to influence who is elected in the 2012 election.

Herman Cain had the following to say in his weekly e-mail:

____________________________________________________________

Herman’s Weekly Commentary: President Obama Owns This Crisis
Published: Sunday, July 24, 2011

Last week in this commentary I documented what I thought was a major crisis of leadership in the White House regarding our national debate over the debt ceiling and debt.  The crisis in the Oval Office is apparently even worse than I thought – and frankly, I thought it was pretty bad to begin with.

This weekend we have learned that President Obama has more or less abdicated leadership on this issue. If he can’t get his way, which includes raising taxes and raising the debt ceiling, he doesn’t even want to talk. Congressional leaders are meeting without the president or even any of the president’s staff in an effort to reach a deal on spending and the debt ceiling.

Now this is ironic when you remember that the president had tried to stay out of this very important issue for weeks before trying to swoop in like the super hero to save the day last week.  He was trying to convince the nation that he and he alone was the lone reasonable adult trying to bring order to a chaotic debt mess.

When the president got involved, the mess got worse.

Spending cuts are just not something that a big government liberal can ever get serious about. And if there’s one thing we know for sure, it’s that President Obama is a big government liberal.  Of course, folks who were paying attention knew this long before Election Day 2008.  Everything that has happened since Obama took office – especially the events of the last few weeks – continue to hammer this point home.

What we need now is a strong leader who understands that we must reduce the size, scope, reach and spending of our federal government, and we must do it now and we must do it dramatically.  What we have is just the opposite of that.  What we have in the Oval Office is a former senator who specialized in voting “present” on many bills, and in voting “yes” to all kinds of expansionist government and income redistribution schemes.

President Obama can’t vote “present” on this crisis. He owns this crisis, because it did not need to happen. He did not lead when he needed to lead.

And of course, Mr. Obama’s yes man in the Senate, Majority Leader Harry Reid, is not showing any more leadership on this issue either.  He refused to even allow debate and a vote on the Senate’s “Cut, Cap and Balance” bill put forward by Jim DeMint and some other responsible adults in the Senate, which had already passed in the House.

Let me remind you that this is the same Harry Reid who has run the Senate since the elections of 2006.  This is the same Senate, of course, that has not even passed a budget in over 800 days.  Now you and I cannot even fathom trying to run our households or our businesses for well over two years without a budget, but this is what is going on in Washington under liberal Democrat control.

Endless spending is the result with liberal Democrats in control of the national checkbook. And now, they want more authority to write more bad checks with no end in sight. They want even more of a line of credit so that they can continue to spend money they don’t have, and to do so without the accountability of a written budget.

There’s a lot of nuance and misinformation out there about what will or will not happen if there is – or is not – a raising of the debt ceiling.  But the simple fact is this: there is one party in Washington that is standing up now for fiscal responsibility – and there is another party in control of the Senate and the White House standing in the way.

For too long, of course, both parties have been part of the problem.  But for now, President Obama, Harry Reid and the congressional Democrats are the people who are spending us into oblivion and doing so recklessly.

The president and the Democrats in Congress own this crisis. Some of us are smart enough to know that. Others, well, they are special.

2012 Election- Proof that Osama Bin Laden Dead?

2012 election

2012 election

2012 Election

As the 2012 election is approaching there are many world events that seem to be taking place.

Today May 2nd,2011 the media claims that Osama Bin Laden is dead. Should people just take the word of the media that he is dead?

Or is is more logical to ask for proof?

Why was the body “buried at sea”?

Why hasn’t the body been retrieved?

Where are the pictures or videos?

Where is the proof?

One may often wonder is what the media says really true. Or is it just a way to influence people to think one way or another.

We all know the power of media. We are all aware that extreme amounts of money are spent for advertising to influence people to buy a particular product or service. Just think of the Super Bowl.

So as the news says Osama Bin Laden is dead, you may be wondering, “is this part of a 2012 election campaign?”

After all where is the proof that Osama bin Laden is dead or has been killed?

Where are the videos or pictures?

These have yet to be seen
